Should I Change My HEPA Filter? January 20, 2019

An air purifier with a HEPA filter inside of it can be a great thing for your health. If you’re looking to turn over a new leaf for health, an air purifier is a great start. Air purifiers with HEPA filters are some of the best that are currently on the market, so there’s no wrong decision when it comes to this.

Some of them can be pretty expensive, but this is because they either cover more room or have additional filters inside of it. It is a great investment to make because it pulls even the smallest particles from the air. Germs, allergens, and more will be taken away from your air.

There are many things to know about air purifiers and you can find out a lot at Damage Control 911 of Orlando. Air purifiers with HEPA filters need to be cleaned somewhat often, though. Every couple of months, all you have to do is remove it and run a vacuum through it or use a can of air on it.

There are plenty of things you can do to clean it. Some of them are even washable. However, if you do plan on washing it, make sure that you can do it first. Some HEPA filters aren’t washable and can be ruined by water and moisture.

Do HEPA Filters Remove Mold Spores? September 10, 2018

I had mold in my house once. It is a terrible thing to have in any location. I didn’t know where to turn, but I started with a mold test. I knew mold remediation services were somewhat expensive, so I needed to get something to help with the problem until I could hire a local service.

I looked around at Damage Control 911 and learned that HEPA filters are one of the best ways to combat mold spores in the home. It’s a dangerous thing to let linger in your home. If you breathe them in, you could suffer from respiratory problems and even other sicknesses.

I was able to keep my home relatively clean whenever I tested positive for mold. A HEPA filter did wonders for my environment and kept the mold spores from getting out of hand. After getting mold remediation, I still used the HEPA air purifier to keep my air clean for me and my family.

It keeps mold spores, pollen, dust, and more out of the air, so it works past the mold spores I originally purchased it for. Some of my family members deal with allergy problems, so it’s a good thing to have during the year, especially around spring and fall. It has cut down on our tissue use and has made our sleeping much more comfortable.
